ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

The idea of forming an official Caisson Association came out of multiple online conversations among former Caisson members about all of us getting back together at Ft. Myer to visit the Caisson Stables.

The main issue with planning that informal reunion was the timing. While everyone was excited to do it, we were spread out all over the country and each of us had things going on in our lives that made it extremely difficult to schedule a time that was good for everyone.

While a handful did get back together that year for a visit to the stables, the majority couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts. That's when a couple of us decided to seriously consider forming the Association.

We put together a list of goals that we wanted to accomplish as an organization. That list would eventually be refined and turned into what is now the Associations mission statement.
